The Power of Digital Marketing
Times change fast, and with that also come a lot of evolutions when it comes to business and marketing. One example of said evolution is digital marketing.
Basically, digital marketing has a lot to do with using computers and other electronic devices, such as smart phones and other gadgets, for promotions and advertisements. In a way, you could say that it works well with the kind of lifestyle that most people have these days. In fact, in 2012 alone, there were already 4.5 trillion digital ads that have been made, which only goes to show that it’s the kind of marketing that most people trust these days.
The 4 P’s
More so, digital marketing also works well with the 4 P’s of marketing, namely: Promotion, Price, Place, and Products. Here’s how.
When it comes to deciding which products a company has to put out in the market, research plays a big role. And of course, researching could be more efficient when one makes use of computers and smart phones because at least, they could easily get people’s opinions and use graphs and statistics found online to see which products people actually want—so they could save more time and effort, and so their products would actually be used by many!
These days, it’s so easy to research online about how much a product really costs and it’s also easy to compare prices. All you have to do is check a certain product, click the link on related products, and you’ll already be able to know everything you need to know about the said product. Then, the marketers could come to a conclusion as to how they should price. Proper pricing has a lot to do with knowing how a product could affect people, and knowing people’s clamor for said product. It’s also imperative that a product should be priced not much higher—or lower—than its contemporaries.
Of course, being online could also help out a lot in knowing the easiest routes to deliver products to customers, or which places on a certain city, town, or country should the products be placed because that’s where most of the fanbase, or the consumers could be. It could also be a means of knowing which products to make for various places, because it’s a given face that people living in different areas have their own likes and dislikes, so it’s just right that manufacturers cater to their needs and wants. More so, it’s a sign that marketers should think of ways on how to market certain products for these different places by adhering to various laws and regulations – because you can never really generalize when it comes to marketing.
And finally, digital marketing works best with what else? – The promotion of products, of course. Aside from the old-school ways of advertising products on TV, Radio, or via the newspapers, marketers can now make use of social media platforms to let people know about what’s hip and happening. They can also hold contests on these social media platforms to get their potential customers’ attention and make them involved in the projects.
Furthermore, it’s also a good way of knowing how people react to the product—in the easiest way possible!
The Future of Advertising
Needless to say, digital marketing has changed–and will continue to change—the face of advertising anywhere. It is the face of the future—and it proves that because of it, there’s a lot to be thankful for.
